A small story from Ian Millar (UD):
At the Pittyvaich distillery they have tested production of Gordons Gin - to prove that Gin can be produced anywhere.
By modifing the spirit and wash stills they produced a Gordon Gin and experts tested it.
They were unable to tell the difference between the "real" Gordons gin and the on produced at Pittyvaich.

From the Whisky pilot by Uniqum Systems :
The Pittyvaich-Glenlivet was built in 1973 by Arthur Bell & Sons Ltd, about a half kilometre from Dufftown-Glenlivet. It operated in conjunction with it and produced a maltwhisky that after having matured for 8 years were used for blending. It has four stills. Closed in 1993.
Situated in the Dullan Glen on the outskirts of Dufftown near the sixth century Mortlach Parish Church.
The distillery draws its process water from two springs, Convalleys and Balliemore.
